Dorothy R. Baldi (74) died Thursday, June 19, 2008 @ Wilson Memorial Hospital.
She was predeceased by her parents, Walter E. Roe (Father), Barbara Roe (Mother); Walter (Tink) Roe (Brother)& Rosa Roe (sister in law), Dave Roe (Brother)& Bonnie Roe (sister in law), Barbara Stoutenberg (Sister). She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years Raymond Baldi, her children- Raymond Baldi III (son), Lauri Martine (daughter), Barbara Lucente (daughter), Bruce A. Baldi (son), Stacy L. Baldi (daughter), 6 grandchildren, Aaron & Kyle Martine, Raymond & Kayla Baldi, Regina & Theodore Lucente, Jr.
Nieces & Nephews, Terrell & Kirt Roe, and Michael & Leilani Roe, Al & Deb MacGibbon.
Dottie was long time resident, born and raised in Walton, NY. She was actively involved in the community throughout her life. She was a member of the ladies auxiliary fire department, an active member of the Catholic Church and community charities.
As she raised the children, she instilled strong family values,sharing God's gift of unconditional love. She maintained close-knit ties with her husband's family as if they were her own. She will be remembered by all of her in-laws from the triple-cities.
She will also be remembered as a beloved friend for many people in this community, her bridge partners and sr. meal companions. All will remember her positive attitude and outlook on life. Even as she strolled the streets of Walton, Dottie would make good-nature remarks to passersby.
Friends and relatives are invited to call on Monday, June 23, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the Clark, Winter & Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend St., Walton
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at Saint John The Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 17-25 Benton Avenue, Walton with the Rev. Matthew Frisoni, officiating. Interment will follow in Walton Cemetery.
