Dorothy Fuller, 89, a long time resident of Downsville, passed away Monday morning, February 1, 2010 at Countryside Care Center.
Dorothy was born on December 24, 1920 in Centerville, NY, the daughter of the late Fred and Sadie (Wayman) Tuttle. She married Ken Fuller on October 6, 1940. He died on April 18, 1994. Dorothy owned and operated the Covered Bridge Diner in Downsville for many years. She was a member of the Downsville Women's Club, "Keeping with the Times" release class, Senior Citizens of Downsville and the Heart of Sunshine Club, Bradenton, FL., and a 75 year member of the Colchester Community Church. She enjoyed crocheting.
Dorothy is survived by a son, Kenneth (Marie) Fuller, Downsville; a daughter, Rose (William) Burghart Carvin; Sevierville, TN; 7 grandchildren, Kelley, Melissa, Kristie, Dorthea, Cena, Kennie and Wendy, 17 great-grandchildren; brothers, Clark (Marge) Tuttle, Downsville; Fred Tuttle, Kutztown, PA; a sister, Pearl Rhinebeck, Charleston, TN; several nieces, nephews and cousins, and special friends, Joe and June Bokel, Delhi. She was predeceased by a daughter, Louise McLenon in 2009; a sister, Leona Daniels, a brother, Marion Tuttle, and a great-grandson, Christopher Andrews, in 2003.
Funeral services will be held in the spring at a date and time to be announced. Arrangements are with Courtney Funeral Home, Walton.
