Dorothy M. Smith, 60, a long time resident of Walton, passed away Sunday morning, August 16, 2015 at Wilson Memorial Hospital of Johnson City, following a long illness.

Dorothy was born on October 28, 1954 in Hackensack, NJ; the daughter of the late Charles "Foster" and the late Daisy (Decker) Smith. She was a faithful member of the Pines Brook Baptist Church. Dorothy loved all kinds of animals. She had Lhasa Apso therapy dogs that she would take to the Veterans Hospital in Paramus. She loved going to the Delaware County Fair to watch the horse shows. She enjoyed crocheting and was an avid reader.

Dorothy is survived by her brother, Charles Smith , El Paso TX; favorite aunt and uncle, Shirley and Sam Weed, Pines Bush, NY; cousins, Lydia and Scott and Joseph and Nerissa Craig, Walton; Jim Augustine and Martin and Cindy Boeniez, all of New Jersey; good friends, Rhonda Murphy, Barb Bartlett and Carol Reed.

A graveside service will be held in George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ at a date and time to be announced.
