Dorothy B. Poloso, age 71, of Walton passed away Monday, March 19, 2012 at Binghamton General Hospital, following a short illness.

Mrs. Poloso was born December 8, 1940 in New York City, the daughter of the late Robert and Beatrice (Powell) Cowan. She was married to Salvatore Poloso, who died on April 9, 1985.

She was a member of the Salvation Army.

Dorothy is survived by her three sons, Salvatore (Cheryl) Poloso of Walton, Harry (Rosaleen) Poloso of Penn Hills, PA, and John Poloso of Poughkeepsie; her grandchildren, Sal, Natalie, David, Matthew, and James, two great-granchildren, Athello and Sal; a brother, Bob Cowan, and several cousins.

Friends and family are invited to call on Friday evening, March 23, 2012 from 6 to 8PM at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton, and from 12PM to 1PM Saturday where services will be held at 1PM with the Rev. Lisa Ruth Mays, officiating.
