Dorothy "Dot" M. St. John, 94, formerly of Walton passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday afternoon, March 1, 2016 at Fox Hospital Nursing Home, Oneonta, following a long illness.

Dot was born on July 31, 1921 in Sidney Center, the daughter of the late Walton and Ada (Hull) Morenus. On April 22, 1945 she married Walter "Tel" St. John at the First United Methodist Church in Walton. They were truly devoted to each other and to their daughter, Susan. He died on October 8, 2015.

Dot enjoyed tending to her gardens, both vegetable and flower, cooking and sewing. She was a faithful member of Plymouth Community Church.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Susan Franklin of Port Jefferson, NY; her brother, Frank (and wife Barbara) Morenus of Vestal, NY; her sisters, Jean Sanford and Joyce Terry of Sidney Center, NY; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her siblings, Mildred Patrick, Ruth Morenus, Beatrice (Bea) Patterson and Ralph (Ike) Morenus.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at 1PM at the Walton Cemetery, 55 Fancher Avenue, Walton with Pastor David Gatje, officiating.
