Douglas P. Caffery, 53, a life-long resident of Walton, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at Wilson Memorial Hospital in Johnson City.

Doug was born on December 22, 1961 in Walton, the son of Victor and Patricia (Barnes) Caffery. He enjoyed working high up in the trees and at one time was a "Journeyman" for several logging companies. Doug also worked at S.J. Baileys and most recently at North East Fabricators. Doug also was the owner of Doug's Lawn Care in Walton. He loved cruising on his motorcycle in the open air. When he had a chance; he was often found sitting in the sun watching his hummingbirds. Doug loved his family and spending time with them at every family function. He loved his dog Tippy who was just like family to him.

Douglas is survived by his loving family, his son, Brian Caffery of Fairfield, OH; his girlfriend, Bonnie Mason of Walton; his brothers and sister-in-law, Victor (Denise) Caffery of Outer Banks, NC; and David Caffery of Walton; his sister and brother-in-law; Jennifer (James) Caffery–Healey of Walton; and his special friends Don Crossman, Pat DiNardo and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, July 17, 2015 at the New Hope Community Church, 45 Stockton Avenue, Walton from 10:30AM to 12:00PM where services will be held at 12:00PM with Pat DiNardo, officiating.
