Douglas C. Hoyt, age 83, passed away on March 9, 2025 at the Delhi Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Delhi, NY.

Douglas was born on November 26, 1941 in Walton, NY, the son of the late Charles and Eva (Conklin) Hoyt.

Douglas dedicated 15 years of his life working at Breakstones in Walton, NY where he was known for his strong work ethic and friendly demeanor. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, and loved walking and fishing. His greatest joy, however, came from spending time with his family and friends.

Douglas is survived by his daughter, Cynthia Carey (Paul) of Norwich, NY; sons, Douglas (Dawn) Hoyt and Robert Hoyt (Lori) both of Walton, NY, and Kevin (Kathy) Hoyt of Las Vegas, NV; one brother, William Hoyt of Walton, NY; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; many nephews, and nieces, including niece, Pauline, who he had a special connection with.

He was preceded in death by Charles Hoyt (father); Eva Conklin (mother); brothers, Charles and Paul "Joe" Hoyt; and sisters, Mary Jane Neale, Martha Stanton, Evelyn Finch, Grace Wright, and Janet Hoyt.

A graveside service will take place at the Walton Cemetery on May 2, at 2:00 pm.
