Duane Welch, 53 of Walton, passed away Sunday morning, November 9, 2008 at home.

Duane was born in Walton on May 25, 1955 the son of Bert and Thelma Lewis Welch. He was a graduate of Walton Central School class of 1974. He served in the United States Marine Corps. He was a Engineer, employed by Tetrapac of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Duane enjoyed photography, fishing, cooking, playing cards and auctions.

Duane is survived by two daughters: Amanda and Staci Welch of Unadilla, one son, Andrew Welch of Oswego, his father, Bert A. Welch, Walton; brother: Rodney Welch of Madison, Wisconsin; 2 aunts, Frances Rice of Walton, NY; Barbara Lewis of Bradenton, Florida; niece, Zoe Welch; and several cousins.

Duane was predeceased by his mother, Thelma, and grandmother, Lillian Mae Lewis.

Friends and relatives are invited to call on Wednesday evening, November 12, 2008 from 6 to 8 PM at the Clark, Winter & Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend St., Walton, where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am with the Rev. Mark Del Giudice, officiating. Burial will follow in Walton Cemetery.
