Edith Margaret Cicio Todd, 88 of Downsville, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2006 in the Oneonta Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, after a long illness.

Born January 14, 1918 in Downsville, Edith Todd was the daughter of the late Benny and Emma Howe Cicio. On June 24, 1937 in the Presbyterian Church of Downsville, she married Russell R. Todd who predeceased her in August 1998. In July of 2000 she married Orlando W. Leudeke of Florida, who predeceased her in October 2001. She graduated from Downsville Central School in 1934 and the Ridley Lowell Business School in Binghamton in 1936.

For the Downsville Central School she was the Principal's secretary, District Treasurer, payroll clerk, Clerk of the Board, and office manager for over 27 years, retiring in 1979. A long time resident of Downsville, she was a member of the Colchester Community Church, Downsville Womens Club, CSEA, NEA, was very active in the DCS Alumni Association and loved playing cards in the Downsville Pinocle Club. While Wintering in Bradenton, Florida she was Treasurer of the Golden Age Club.

Edith is survived by 2 sons, Robert L Todd and wife Dorothy Anne of Ballston Spa, NY, and Donald L.Todd and wife Sheila of Walton; a daughter Joyce Steflik and husband John of Downsville; 12 grandchildren, Anne Marie Todd, Maria Steflik Brown, Elizabeth Todd Milne, Suzanne Todd Schneider, Timothy Steflik, Kevin Todd, Jeffrey Todd, Keith Steflik, Gregory Todd, Jeremy Steflik, Megan Todd, and Kristen Steflik; 12 great-grandchildren; Emily, Laura, Ruth and Peter Milne, Katie, Todd Alan, and Matthew Schneider, Rachael and Emma Brown, Kyle Steflik, Brooke Steflik and Gabrielle Todd; a brother, Harold Cicio of Woodridge; 3 nieces, Judy Frost, Natalie Churak, and Kim Solomon, and several cousins. She will be greatly missed by her extended family and many friends.

Friends and relatives are invited to call on Tuesday, February 28, 2006 from 5 to 8 PM at the Clark, Winter & Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend St, Walton. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday in the Colchester Community Church, Downsville, with the Rev. Dale Ashby officiating. Burial will take place in the spring when Paige Cemetery reopens.
