Edward R. Chase, Sr., 65, of Walton passed away Sunday morning, December 7, 2014 at Albany Stratton VA Medical Center, Albany, NY.

Edward was born on October 25, 1949 in Richfield Springs, the son of the late Howard and Gladys (Boice) Chase. He attended Christ Episcopal Church, Walton. Edward was a self-employed painter who enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Viet Nam War.

Edward is survived by , two daughters: Crystal Burr of Walton, and Kimmy Chase of Oneonta; and four sons: Steven Chase, Peter & Alicia Chase of Hartwick; Edward & Nicole Chase Jr. of Walton; Matt & Verna Chase of Windsor, NY; grandchildren, Jake, Alexis, Jordan, Isabella, Madison, Corey, Angel, Destiny, Jaiden, Abigail, Caden, Dakota, Shane, Brent, Kaleb "KK", brothers, Ron, Don and Fred Chase; sisters, Gladys Hunt and Mary Burr.

Friends and relatives are invited to call on Wednesday morning, December 10, 2014 from 10 AM to 12 Noon at the Courtney Funeral home, 25 Townsend St., Walton.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be held 1:00 pm on Wednesday, December 10 at Christ Episcopal Church, 41 Gardiner Place, Walton, NY with Rev. R.L. Donahue officiating. Burial will be in Walton Cemetery, Walton, with full military Honors.
