Edwin F. Jones, 56 of Hancock, passed away Thursday afternoon, July 13, 2006 in Lourdes Hospital, Binghamton, after a long illness.

Edwin was born in Sidney, on August 10, 1949, the son of Frank and Emma Birdsall Jones.

He was employed by RFI, Hamden. He loved to ride his horse, "Tiny", make bird houses, and plant seedlings.

He is survived by his parents, Frank and Emma Jones, 2 brothers, Edson and Edsel Jones both of Sidney Center, 4 sisters, Edna Ballantyne and her husband Frank of Delhi, Edith Jones of Masonville, Linda Johnson and her husband James, and Cindy Joslin and her husband David, both of Unadilla, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends and relatives are invited to call on Sunday, July 16, 2006 from 6 to 8 PM at the Clark, Winter & Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend St., Walton.

A graveside service will be held on Monday at 2:00 pm in the Evergreen Hill Cemetery, Unadilla, with the Rev. Robert Howard, officiating.
