Eleanor Brooks, 94, of Binghamton passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at Bridgewater Rehabilitation Center.

Eleanor was born March 5, 1921 in New York City, the daughter of the late Charles and Pearl (Paddock) Brooks.

Eleanor loved Halloween, scarry movies and stories. She also loved telling stories and jokes. As a child she was educated by nuns and could still, after many years, recite prayers and scripture in latin.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 from 10AM to 11AM at Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton where a prayer service will be held at 11AM with Rev. Edward J. Golding, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Paul's Cemetery in Hancock, NY.
