Eleanor T. McGinty, 89 of Walton, passed away suddenly at home Sunday, July 25, 2004.

Mrs. McGinty was born in Carona, Queens NY on June 6, 1915 the daughter of the late Joseph and Frances Smith King. Upon moving to Walton in 1971, she was employed as a Nurses Aid, at Delaware Valley Hospital for over 17 years. She was married to the late Walter McGinty. He died in 1967. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, Walton.

She is survived by a daughter Patricia York of Preston Hollow, NY; 3 grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth Parker; Michael and Teresa York; 2 great-grandchildren, Evan Jude Parker, and Emma Grace York. She was predeceased by her son, Thomas in 2003; and 2 brothers, Kenneth and the Rev. Bernard King.

Friends may call Tuesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM at the Clark, Winter & Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend St, Walton, NY. where a prayer service will be held Wednesday at 10:15 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Church, Walton with the Rev Michael Flannery, officiating. Burial will be in St Mary´s Cemetery, Port Jervis.
