Elizabeth J. "Betty" Tietjen, 85, of Delhi NY, passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2007 in the Countryside Care Center Delhi, after a short illness.

Betty was born on November 12, 1921 in Davenport, NY, the daughter of Lavern and Ada Brockway Graig. She was a 1940 graduate of South Kortright High School. She was a homemaker who was married to Carlton P. Fancher and later to Russell Tietjen. She moved to Walton from Davenport in 1951. Betty was of the Methodist faith. She enjoyed flower crafts and did silk floral arrangements for banquets and weddings. She also enjoyed scrapbooking and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Betty Tietjen is survived by one daughter: Cindy & Daryl Bakker, two sons: Carlton and Sylvia (Sue) Fancher, John Fancher and Terri Massey all of Walton, NY, grandchildren, Carol Wangeman; Lori Griggs; Courtney Fancher; Morgan Fancher; Kelsey Fancher; Kristin Bakker; Dallas Bakker; great grandchildren, Rachel Wangeman; Kyle Wangeman; Megan Griggs; niece, Juanita Martin; nephew, Kenneth Graig; and special friends, Esther Geer and Helen Lord. She is predeceasd by a brother, Kenneth Graig, Sr.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 3, 2007 at 1:00 pm at the Clark, Winter & Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton, NY with the Rev. Mark Del Giudice officiating. Burial will be in the Davenport Cemetery in the spring. There are no calling hours.
