Ellen F. Boecke, 93, of Walton passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at home.

Ellen was born November 12, 1924 in Fraser, NY the daughter of the late Harrie and Bessie (Pomeroy) Fraser. She was married for 59 years to Uwe William Boecke. He died on July 15, 2006.

Ellen worked as an Administrative Assistant for NYSEG for 25 years before retiring. Prior to that she worked at Style Shop, Bendix, and Catskill Forest Products. She was a member of the PTA and Our Place Senior Center at the UP Church. She enjoyed crafts, sewing, watching the Yankees, and Syracuse University Basketball. She loved spending time with her family and watching the grandchildren play their sports.

Ellen is survived by her loving family, children, John (Diane) Boecke of Southport, NC; Robert (Cindy) Boecke of Walton; Eric (Tina) Boecke of Walton; Linda (Joseph) Wild of Mumford, NY; grandchildren, Jennifer and Michael, Julie, Neale, Erin, Meagan and Stephen, Matthew, and Alexandra, Chadwick and Jordan, great grandchildren, Ella, Natalie, Natalya, Robert and Neale, Samuel, Stephen, Bethany, Paisley, special daughter in law, Kathy, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, Harrie, Jr. and sister and brother in law, Ruth and Fred.

Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, December 16, 2017 from 11AM to 1PM at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton, NY, where services will be held at 1PM with Dr. Janet Schwengber, officiating. Burial will be in the Croton Union Cemetery, Treadwell in the Spring.
