Eric Furgason, 65, of Walton passed away on September 15, 2016 after a long illness at Roscoe Nursing Home.

Eric was born on November 8, 1950, the son of the late Clarence A. and Anne (Thomas) Furgason.

Eric graduated from Gilbertsville Central School in 1968. Following graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Army serving 2 tours in Vietnam.

Eric was a Machine Operator at Unalam, Unadilla for many years. He enjoyed taking trail rides on his snowmobile with his family.

Eric is survived by his four sisters and one brother, Jean (Jim) Scofield, Walton; Carol (John) Jones, Walton; Priscilla Scofield, Walton; Linda (Lewis) Sharpes, Mississippi; Clarence (Buck) Furgason, Bainbridge.

A private service will be held at the family's convenience with burial in the Ouleout Cemetery with full military honors.
