Obituary

Ernestine [Teenie] B. Kilpatrick, 93, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, May 24, 2025, in Walton, NY. Teenie was born on November 14, 1931 in Unadilla, NY, to Laurence Boyd and Louella Crumb. Teenie married Millard [Buck] N. Kilpatrick, Jr. on March 10, 1951 in Walton.

Teenie was best known for pancake breakfasts for everyone that wanted to show up. Friends, family, and friends of friends were always welcome. She never let anyone leave hungry or empty handed. You never knew if the house would be full of 10 or 50 people on holidays or any other day.

She was a well-known community member that made sure the trucks and trailers were always available for the Walton Warriors to have for homecoming parades, special parades, like State Championship celebrations, and Christmas parades. She also spent countless hours at the Delaware County Fair. She would provide food in the barns for the kids who were showing livestock, could be seen at the entertainment tent dancing, even at 90-years-young, and entering exhibits into the grange building, like her traditional wool hook rugs and other homemade creations.

She was very involved in the lives of all of her kids, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other extended family from sport events, music recitals, open houses at school and other events.

Teenie is survived by her large loving family, her children; Joyce (Robert) Bishop, Hamden, NY; William (Anne) Kilpatrick, Perrysburg, Ohio; Norman (Cindy) Kilpatrick, Walton, NY; David (Brenda) Kilpatrick, Walton, NY; and Theodore (Kim) Kilpatrick, Denison, TX. Her grandchildren: Thad (Brenda), Carrie (Tom), Michael (Lori), Emily (Nick), Lindsay (Ronnie), Kelly (Jacob), Marina (Dylan), Cameron (Klara), Dillon (Kristen), Jaxton, Drake, and Brydon. Great-grandchildren: Shakira, Michaela, Peyton, Madison, Ivy, Kira, Chyler, Trent, Keegan, Sam and Drew. Great-great grandchildren: Hudson, Korah, Khade, Sabrina, and Axel. Brothers: Donald and William Boyd. And many nieces and nephews.

Teenie is predeceased by her beloved husband Buck Kilpatrick, her parents Laurence Boyd and Louella Crumb, her sisters: Louise Shaver, Edith Phelps, Phyllis Moss, Laura Crawford, Alice Kishbaugh, and brother, Theron Boyd. She is also predeceased by a special friend of the Kilpatrick family, Gerald Walke.

Special thanks to Patty Knapp and Chris Reed for spending valuable time with her through the last few years. Teenie loved the rides around the countryside with Patty where she could tell the history of our family and her life. She also loved her

shopping trips with Chris. Also, special thanks to all of the nurses and doctors with Helios Care.

The graveside service will be held on Monday June 2nd 2025 at 11am at the Walton Cemetery. Following the service, the family invites everyone to join them at Norman's house for a luncheon afterward, a time to share stories and fond memories of a remarkable woman.

Memorial donations can be made in Ernestine's name to the Delaware County Fair.
