Estella M. White, 87 of Walton N.Y. went home to be with her Lord and Savior, on Tuesday November 5, 2024. She was surrounded by her loving family.  Yes, she cast her ballot, first.

Estella was born in Walton to John S. Davis and Fannie May Baker.  Estella was clothed with strength and dignity.  She spoke with wisdom and faithful instruction and shared that wisdom with her children.  Many women do noble things, but she surpassed them all.  She was a blessing to all, and her family adored her.  She was a compassionate soul known for her love of Jesus and her family.  Estella dedicated her life to the Lord and was the foundation of her family and their faith.  She was a member of the Delhi Abundant Life Church for many years.  Her love and compassion for Jesus touched the lives of those she came in contact with.

Estella is survived by her loving children: Ralph Donald Finch, Carlene Gorence (Brian Gorence), Lori Hilgers (Edward Hilgers), Pamela White, Doreen Maxson (Rodney Maxson), Susan Kirk, Cindy White, and Daniel White (Stephanie White). Several grandchildren, several great grandchildren and a niece Jennifer Davis.  Estella was predeceased by: Daughter, Jo-Anne Hadley and Son-in-Law, Roy Hadley, Son-in-law, Leslie Kirk, Thomas Kirk and Lester Howard.  Grandchildren: Joshua Howard, Cory Kirk, Justin Geraghty, and Sarah Rickrode (White).  Brothers: Roger Davis, John Davis and Sister-in-Law Loretta Davis, and Nephew, John Davis Jr.

Estella spent the majority of her life raising her 10 children.  When one asked her, how did you give birth to 10 children, she replied, "I felt the best when I was pregnant."  Motherhood brought her great joy and fulfilment.  In her later years, she entered the workforce as a Housekeeper at O'Connor Hospital, where she was a dedicated and valued employee for 16 years.

There will be a private burial at the Riverside Cemetery in Hancock N.Y. on Friday 11/8/24.  A celebration of Estella's life will be held at the Oneonta Assembly of God Church in Oneonta N.Y. (1667 Co Hwy 48 Oneonta N.Y. 13820) on November 17, 2024 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.  All are welcome.
