Ethel M. Pontonero, 86 of Walton, passed away Monday evening, October 8, 2007 in Countryside Care Center, Delhi, following a long illness.

Ethel was born in Royal Oak, Michigan, on October 11, 1920 the daughter of the late George F. and Mary (Langowsky) MacLachlan. She was married to Frank Pontonero who died on February 12, 2001. Ethel and Frank owned and operated the Escapade in Hot Springs, California.

Ethel is survived by 2 nieces, Elinor (Max) Dutcher, Walton, Evelyn (Howard) Gerken, Bloomville; 2 nephews, Thomas (Barbara) Downey, Oak Harbor, Washington. Ralph MacLachlan, Dayton, Washington, and several cousins. She was predeceased by a sister, Geraldine Downey and a brother, George MacLachlan.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at 11 AM at Walton Cemetery with the Rev. Thomas Ballard, officiating.
