Eunice M. Whitbeck, age 84, passed away on January 22, 2025 at the Chestnut Park Nursing Home in Oneonta, NY.

Eunice was born on February 11, 1940 in Franklin, NY,  to her loving parents Leonard Whitbeck and Marguerite Thomas.

Eunice found profound happiness in horseback riding and working on the family farm, where she spent countless hours nurturing both the land and her beloved animals.

An avid gardener, Eunice took immense pride in her flowers and vegetables, which blossomed under her care, much like the relationships she cultivated with those around her. She found joy in selling Avon products and cherished the moments spent visiting and connecting with people, always bringing a warm smile and heartfelt conversation. Eunice had a particular fondness for collecting horse-themed memorabilia, a testament to her lifelong love for horses. Her artistic spirit glimmered through her drawings and creations, which are cherished reminders of her creativity and passion.

Eunice is survived by her sister; Eileen VanLoan of TN, several nieces, nephews and cousins and her beloved cat Tiki.

She was preceded in death by her parents Leonard and Marguerite Whitbeck, her sister Margaret Vanburen, her siblings, Laverna Maus, Clifford Whitbeck, Clifton Whitbeck and Carlton Whitbeck.

Private service will take place in the spring.
