Everett J. Adamo, 51 of Walton, passed away surrounded by his loving family Wednesday evening, November 15, 2006 at home following a long illness.

Everett was born in Staten Island, on July 28, 1955 the son of the late George A. and Florence Balzer Adamo Jr. He was a graduate of the class of 1973 of Margaretville Central School. He attended college at State University at Delhi. He then went to work for Dellwood Foods in maintenance and now known as DMV International as a maintenance supervisor. On April 15, 1978 he married the former Betsy Harrington in Margaretville.

He was an active member of the Brush Buster Hunt Club, Walton, the Sidney Federal Credit Union Relay for Life Team, and the DMV Relay for Life Team.

He is survived by his wife, Betsy Harrington, 2 sons, Robert and Kelly Adamo, Harrah, Oklahoma; Brian Adamo and Christina Walley, Walton; grandsons, William Robert, and Clayton Eugene Adamo, his brother, Richard and Debra Adamo, Ilion; an aunt, Anna Marie Adamo, and niece, nephews, and cousins, and his pet bassett hound, Duke who was with him every step of the way.

Friends and family are invited to call from 6 to 8 PM on Monday evening, November 20, 2006 at the Clark, Winter & Courtney Funeral Home, Walton. Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions in Everett's memory may be made to the Sidney Federal Credit Union's Relay for Life, or Catskill Area Hospice.
