Fannie L. Vermilyea, 78, of Trout Creek passed away Friday afternoon, September 29, 2017 at Delaware Valley Hospital, following a long illness.

Fannie was born on September 6, 1939 in Bainbridge, the daughter of the late Wellington and Marjorie (Vermilyea) Mills. She was married Oscar "Buck" Vermilyea, who predeceased her.

Fannie was brought up in the Cannonsville Baptist Church. She was an "outdoor person" who enjoyed the area and also collecting all types of animal figurines.

Fannie is survived by, three sisters: Sandra Gardepe of Sidney; Patricia & Jim Gardepe of the town of Tompkins and Barbara & Karl Keuhn of Guilford, NY; and one brother, Wellington Edward Mills of Trout Creek, special niece and caregiver, Deboral and Michael Mills, Trout Creek. and several nieces nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her son Gary, and a brother Charles Mills.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Carroll Cemetery, Herrick Hollow Rd, Trout Creek, NY with Pastor David Gatje, officiating. Arrangements are with Courtney Funeral Home, Walton.
