Faye L. Szczepczynski, 68 of Walton, passed away Wednesday evening, December 19, 2007 in the Delaware Valley Hospital. Faye has now found peace after a long struggle with illness.

Faye was born in Walton on March 8, 1939 the daughter of the late Hugh and Ramona (Davidson) Bodiot. On February 27, 1959 she married Norbert Szczepczynski at Maxwell AFB, Montgomery, Alabama. She was a proud member of the United States Air Force serving all over the world. She later worked as a neonatal nurse, first at Big Springs, Texas and later at Longmont Memorial Hospital, Longmont, Colorado. Faye was a foster parent for many years who took care of abused babies, and loved every minute of it. She also volunteered at Longmont Academy as a teachers aide.Faye was a warm and friendly soul who loved knitting, embroidery, jig saw puzzles and cryptograms. She also loved spending time with her family.

Faye is survived by her loving husband, Norbert "Ski", 2 daughters, Tarasia Thorpe and Jamie L. Szczepczynski, both of Walton; 2 sons, Anthony C. (Laurie) Szczepczynski, Port Angeles, Washington State; and Michael S. (Amy) Szczepczynski, Colorado; her beloved grandchildren, Christopher, Emma Rose, and Tyler Lee; 2 brothers, Dick (Martha) Bodiot, Florida; Hugh (Margie) Bodiot, California; 2 sisters, Shiela (Richard) Buchanan, Walton, Maxine Stillwell, Fla., 2 sister in laws Beatrice Bodiot, Walton; Sr. Therese Szczepczynski, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by a brother, Terry Bodiot, and a sister, Yvonne "Bonnie" Roe.

In keeping with Faye's wishes there will be private services at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions in Faye's memory may be made to Catskill Area Hospice.
