IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Florence
Snyder
May 15, 1929 – December 28, 2007
Florence "Flossie"Snyder 82 of East Branch, passed away on Friday evening, December 28, 2007, following a brief battle with pneumonia.
Flossie was born on May 15, 1925 and lived in Newburgh, NY with her parents, William and Jennie June Snyder and her two brothers. She came to live in Delaware County 37 years ago, residing in the East Branch area much of that time. For the last five years she resided in the Possemato Family Care Home.
Florence leaves behind her faithful friend and advocate, Sophie Pelc, the staff at the Delaware Regional Center, Elaine O'Mara-Hulbert, and her dear friends at Maple Leaf along with many others, who over the years, gave her the loving care her parents wanted for her. She was known for her positive attitude. She began each day with "Oh, I feel good today" and ended each day with " I had a wonderful day". Flossie was especially fond of the Maple Leaf Program, Bingo, jewelry, purses, compliments, hugs, looking stylish, peanut butter, choclate, and toffee. She believed in the resurrection and knew she would be reunited with her parents.
Flossie had her own special words she would repeat that comforted her when she didn't feel well. If she could tell us what she would have liked written on her gravestone, it would have been those words, "I'll be O'tay" and she will.
Friends are invited to funeral services for Flossie at 10 AM on Thursday morning, January 3, 2008 at the Clark, Winter & Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend St., Walton, NY, with the Rev. Jennifer Mattson Juliano, officiating
