Frances L. Shaw 82 formerly of Hamden, passed away on Saturday afternoon, January 26, 2008, at Countryside Care Center.

Frances was born on April 21, 1925 the daughter of the late James and Diana Daggett Teed. She married Raymond Shaw on October 20, 1945 in Walton. Frances and Raymond operated the family farm in Fuller Hollow in Hamden for many years until 2 years ago when she moved to the Countryside Care Center. Raymond died on October 31, 1999. She loved gardening, scrapbooking for her grandchildren and the many dogs and cats who she took care of over the years. She attended Colchester Community Church.

Frances is survived by 2 daughters, Marie (Ken) Fuller, Downsville; Dawn (Mark) Cortright, Delancy; 2 sons, Leonard (Sue) Shaw, Hamden; Lester (Cheryl) Shaw, Milford; 5 grandchildren, Kenny, Wendy, Jeremy, Andrew, Matthew, 2 great grandchildren, Ashley, Keith, several cousins, and special friend, Retha Beardslee, Walton. She was predeceased by a grandson, Paul Shaw on February 10, 2002.

A graveside service will be held in Paige Cemetery, Downsville in the spring.
