Frank E. Brizzee, 89, of Walton passed away on Monday, September 1, 2014 at his home in Walton surrounded by his family.
Frank was born on July 23, 1925 in Butternuts, NY the son of the late Clyde and Bernice ( Garrison) Brizzee. He married the former Dorothy Webb on December 25, 1946 at the Deposit Methodist Parsonage.
Frank started working as a Cheese Maker at Queen's Farm and Dairy in Cannonsville. He then spent 20 years at Breakstone's where he retired from. He was a member of the Rock Royal Methodist Church and Del-Senango Fiddlers Organization. Frank was a kind loving man who went about his business quietly and family always came first. He enjoyed working with machinery, was especially fond of John Deere Tractors. In his earlier years he enjoyed square dancing and clogging which he traveled all over to do.
Frank is survived by his loving family, his wife of 68 years, Dorothy, his daughters, Jean (Tom) Humphries of Delhi; JoAnn Brizzee of Town of Tompkins; his daughter in law, Pam Brizzee of Walton; his grandchildren, Zachary and Sarah Zayhowski of VA; Jessica Wheeler of Trout Creek; Casey (Amanda) Brizzee of Oxford, Tyler Brizzee of Walton, his brother, Michael (Jean ) Brizzee of Cobleskill; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, John M. Brizzee, and his brother, William Brizzee.
At the request of Frank a graveside service will be held on Friday, September 5, 2014 at 11AM at the Carroll Hill Cemetery in Trout Creek with the Rev. Kurt Funke and Rev. Judy Travis, officiating. There will be no calling hours.
In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations may be made to Trout Creek Community Church, P. O. Box 47, Trout Creek, New York 13847 or Trout Creek Fire Department and EMS, 8695 County Highway 27, Trout Creek, New York 13847.
