IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Gay Marilyn Baxter
Bowker
November 12, 1941 – March 24, 2026
In loving memory Gay Marilyn Baxter Bowker
Gay Marilyn Eleanor Teresa Baxter Bowker, known affectionately as Nana to her Family, was born on November 12, 1941, and passed away on March 24, 2026, after a brief illness in her Florida home.
Gay was a woman of faith, warmth, style, and quiet generosity. She spent many years working at a local style shop, where her eye for fashion and signature outfits left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered. She had a gift for bringing people together. Her dinner parties were always something to be remembered, filled with laughter, full plates, and the kind of cooking that made everyone feel at home.
Her gardens were a true reflection of her; thoughtfully cared for, always blooming, and full of life. Her home was her pride, a space she created with intention, beauty, and comfort in every detail.
She had a natural way of showing up for others, offering comfort and steady presence during life’s most difficult moments. Many were fortunate to be cared for by her in times when it mattered most.
Above all, she was a devoted partner to Thomas Roach, mother to Timothy Bowker, grandmother to Katherine Bowker, Garrett Bowker and Elizabeth Teelon, great-grandmother to Paisley Hall, aunt, and friend to many. She also held a special place in the hearts of Thomas’s family, including his children Jim and Daniel Roach, and grandchildren Shannon, Sean, Baxter, and Emma Roach. She will be remembered not only for what she did, but for how she made people feel, welcomed, cared for, and never alone.
Funeral services will be held this summer and will be announced at a later date.
May she rest in peace, our Nana, with the same gentleness she gave so freely. Her love will continue to bloom; in her gardens, in her home, and in all of us
