George A. Bushell, 65, of Sidney Center, passed away Friday, November 9, 2007 at Delaware Valley Hospital, Walton.

Born in Ossining, NY, George was the son of the late George A. and Lucy (Barbado) Bushell Sr. He married Rose E. Lannon on December 31, 1961 at St. Ann's Church, Ossining, NY. George and Rose moved to this area from Ossining in 2001, Rose passed away on April 8, 2007.

George retired as a machinist in 1996 from the General Motors Company. He worked at the former Tarrytown plant for over 25 years.

He loved working outdoors and enjoyed what nature had to offer.

George is survived by one daughter: Katie Bushell of Walton; three sons: Timothy (Barbara) Bushell of Cortlandt Manor, George (Shannon) Bushell of Peekskill & Patrick Bushell of Ossining; six grandchildren; sisters: Mary Ann (Joseph) Rodino of Connecticut, Lucille (David) Festa of Vermont & Janie Luciano of Highland; one brother: Robert (Gayle) Bushell of Hopewell Junction.

Friends and family are invited to call on Tuesday evening, November 13, 2007 from 6 to 8 PM at the Clark, Winter & Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend St., Walton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at the Church of Saint John The Baptist, Benton Avenue, Walton at 11am with the Rev. Matthew H. Frisoni celebrant.

Interment will follow the Mass at Sidney Center Highland Cemetery, Sidney Center.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital-Memorial, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905
