George Frank Pliauplis, 59, of Walton formerly of Queens since 1989 passed away on Monday, June 27, 2016 at Albany Stratton VA Hospital in Albany, NY.

George was born November 7, 1956 in Brooklyn the son of the late Frank and Rosemary (Wososki) Pliauplis. On September 27, 1987 he married the former Alice Iorio at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Queens, NY.

George proudly served his country in the U. S. Army from 1981 to 1985. He formerly worked for Domo as a Supervisor in Fraser. He was a member of the St. John the Roman Catholic Church of Walton.

George was a good swimmer and loved to go fishing.

George is survived by his wife, Alice, daughter, Sara, mother in law, Mildred Iorio, all of Walton; brothers, Mike and Rose Pliauplis of South Carolina, Chris and Thomas Pliauplis of Queens, his cat Salem, dogs, Buddy and Cleo, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, July 2, 2016 from 3PM to 5:30PM at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton where a Prayer Service will be held at 4:30PM with Deacon Michael Freeman, Celebrant.
