Obituary

Georgia A. Miller, 80 of Walton, passed away Thursday afternoon, December 15, 2005, in Delaware Valley Hospital, after a long illness.

Georgia was born in Walton the daughter of the late William H and Elizabeth LaFrano Austin, on February 7, 1925. She was a graduate of West Virginia University, and did graduate studies at Syracuse University, and Oneonta State University. Georgia was a gifted French Teacher at Walton Central Schools for many years. She loved to teach and tutored many students over the years. She also loved reading, tending to her flower garden, and taking long walks with her dogs, Rusty, Colonel, and Brandy.

She is survived by one sister: Myra Youmans of Walton, a great neice, Jodie Day and her husband, David of Walton, NY; great-great nephew, Garrett Day; nephews, Bill and Connie O'Neill; Thumper and Kathie Youmans, Nieces, Deborah Boynton, and Regina Butcher; great nephew, Chad Youmans; and her beloved rottweiler, "Big King". She was predeceased by 2 sisters, Marion Austin, and Celia O'Neill

A Graveside Service will be held at Walton Cemetery on Monday, December 19, 2005 at 10:00 AM., under the direction of Clark, Winter & Courtney Funeral Home, Walton.
