Germaine Ann Hayden, 90, passed away on August 2, 2024, in Binghamton, NY. She was born July 23, 1934, in the Town of Colchester to the late Guerdon A. and Anna Roberts Babcock.

Germaine was a beloved mother, daughter, sister and friend. She touched countless lives with her kindness and generosity. She enjoyed visiting with her friends, taking trips with her friend Barb and she very much enjoyed the company of little children.  Germaine was also a member of St Mary's Episcopal Church for 70 years and that was very important to her.

She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Randy (Olga) Hayden of Binghamton; sister Linda Northrup of Walton, grandchildren, Carl (Christina) Hayden of Williamsburg, VA, Marc Hayden of Frankford DE, Alexandria Vasquez of San Rafael, CA, and great-grandson Julien Vasquez also of San Rafael, and several nieces, and nephews.

Germaine was predeceased by her loving parents Guerdon and Anna Babcock, her husband Ronald (Ronnie) Hayden, daughters, Rhonda Ann and Lori Jane, her sisters Gloria, and Marley, brothers Fred and Robert Neil.

Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday August 13, 2024, from 2PM to 4PM at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at 11AM at the Colchester Community Church, 15151 State Highway 30, Downsville with Pastor Christine Lindeberg officiating.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at 12PM at Paige Cemetery in Downsville.

Memorial Contributions is Germaine's memory may be made to Colchester Senior Citizens, Downsville, New York 13755 and James S. Moore American Legion Post 167 Auxiliary 1 Legion Lane, Downsville, NY 13755.
