Gertrude Nichols, 75, of Walton passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Wilson Memorial Hospital in Johnson City, following a short illness.

Gert was born on September 13, 1941 in Brooklyn, one of ten, the daughter of the late John and Jessie Nichols. She was an active member of the Assembly of God Church in Walton.

Gertrude was a Home Health Aide for many years. She enjoyed helping people as she walked around Walton, stopping and visiting with friends along her way.

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, October 21, 2016 from 6 PM to 7 PM at the Assembly of God, County Highway 21, Walton where services will be held at 7 PM with Deacon Royce Parker, officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Kew Gardens at the convenience of the family.

Memorial Contributions in Gertrude's memory may be made to the Assembly of God Church.
