Gladys S. Card, 75 formerly of Trout Brook in Colchester, passed away Friday morning, June 29, 2007 in Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown, after a long illness.

Gladys was born in Mt. Kisco, on July 8, 1931, the daughter of the late Frederick H. and Ethel (Berkins) Shove. On December 29, 1972 she married Philip L. Card. He died on June 28, 1992. Gladys was a licensed practical nurse at the Delaware County Home and Infirmary (Countryside) for many years starting in 1958. Gladys loved watching and feeding the wildlife at her home in Shinhopple. She also loved to chrochet, and playing and teaching the organ.

Friends and relatives are invited to call at the Clark, Winter & Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend St. Walton on Monday, July 2, 2007 from 6 to 8 PM where services will be held on Tuesday at 1 PM with the Rev. Paul Cicio, officiating. Burial will be in Paige Cemetery, Downsville.
