With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Gladys I. Jaques, a beloved mother, friend and dedicated civil servant, who left us on September 5, 2026, at the age of 92. Born on April 10th, 1934, to James and Vivian Bowker in Beerston NY. 

Gladys lived a life full of warmth, kindness, and unwavering dedication to her community. She retired from DVH, Verizon, National Bank of Delaware County then had time to work as the Deputy Town Clerk for the Town of Walton where she touched countless lives with her friendly smile and her commitment to public service until she was 90 years old. 

Gladys enjoyed traveling, spending time with family and obviously working and serving her community. Her favorite thing was just riding the roads of Delaware County. 

Gladys is survived by her sons Jeffery and John, grandchildren Ryan, William, Jason, Jennifer, great-grandchildren Trevor, Morgan and Emilee and great-great Grandson Dallas. 

She was preceded in death by her Husband Lyn W. Jaques, daughter Terri Lyn, and son Micheal. She was a wonderful Mother and friend; we will forever miss your light. In lieu of flowers do something for your neighbors and community like Gladys did her whole life.
