Gordon Mead, 60, of Trout Creek passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 16, 2012.

Gordon was born on July 11, 1952 in Norwalk , Connecticut, the son of the late Morgan W. and Emma Mead. He proudly served his country in the US Army from 1969 to 1972. On September 9, 2004 he married the former Beth Lambrecht in Trout Creek. He was previously married to Susan Mead of Clark Mills.

Gordon was a self-employed contractor in the Walton area. In his spare time he enjoyed going to the casinos, especially Monitcello and Turning Stone, spending time with his family and friends, and going to TA's Restaurant and The Annex.

Gordon is survived by his loving family, his wife, Beth, his children, Hilary Mead and Tanner Mead both of Clarks Mills, NY; Chelsey Mead of Trout Creek, NY; his brothers, Grover Williams of Massena, NY; Morgan Mead of Southbury, CT; William A. Mead of Gainesville, FL; Kim and Kathy Mead of Lake Carmel, NY; Thomas and Heidi Mead of South Salem, NY; his sisters, Doris and James Robinson of Beekman, NY; Martha Lemieux of Boluntown, CT; Emma and Marilyn H. Mead of Pine Plains, NY; his brother in laws, Jeff Bailey of Walton, NY; his special nephews, Glenn Williams of Meridale, NY; Cliff Sinistore, of Cross River, NY; his special friends, Butch Neale, Niles Wilson, Jim Curtain, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends and family are invited to call at the New Hope Community Church, 45 Stockton Avenue, Walton, on December 20, 2012 from 3 to 6PM. Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
