Obituary

Harold R. Lincourt, 89, of Walton passed away unexpectedly, Saturday afternoon, August 19, 2017 at Fox Hospital of Oneonta.

Harold was born on November 28, 1927 in Herkimer, NY, the son of the late Dolphus and Leona (Bronson) Lincourt. He was a graduate of Richfield Springs High School. He married the former Stella Ubner on November 27, 1948 in Richfield. In 1955 he and Stella moved to Walton from Fly Creek. He proudly served his country in the US Army in the occupation army in Germany during WW II. He was employed for many years at Metropolitan Insurance Co., as an agent and later for Marvin & Sholes.

Harold enjoyed motorcycles, camping, golfing square dancing and playing the organ. He was a member of the Walton VFW Post 270 American Legion and the Truman C. Toby Post 32 American Legion. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Stella, his children, Linda & Jerry Eskow of Hamden; Betty & Brian Davis of Laurens, and Richard & Elaine Lincourt of Charlestown, NH; grandchildren, Brian & Beth Lincourt, Nathan & Sarah Davis, great-grandchildren, Robert and Richard Lincourt, Tessa Davis, Julian Lentz and Trey Hall; two brothers: Laurence Lincourt of Waterville and Carlton & Marlene Lincourt of Tipp City, OH, brothers and sisters in law, William & Karen Ubner and Robert and Marcia Ubner both of Fly Creek; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Vincent Lincourt.

Friends and relatives are invited to call on Thursday, August 24, 2017 from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend St., Walton where services will be held at 1 PM,

with the Rev. Edward J. Golding, officiating. Burial will follow in Walton Cemetery with full military honors.
