Harriet A. Hotchkiss, of Columbus, GA formerly a resident of Downsville, passed away on December 2, 2013 in Columbus, GA.

Harriet was born on April 17, 1925 the daughter of the late Calvin and Adella (VanQuran) Sturdevant in Andes, New York.

Harriet worked as a Secretary for the Bendix Corporation in Sidney, New York. She was married to Lloyd Charles Hotchkiss he died on September 6, 1990. She and her husband had a travel trailer and enjoyed traveling and going to Florida during the winter months. In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting doilies and very elegant tablecloths. She was very proud of her Dutch heritage and on Easter she always spent it in Pennsylvania.

Harriet is survived by her grandchildren, Marie DuBois of AL; Rene' DuBois of Oxford, NY; Kevin L. DuBois, Corinne E. Everly, and Marshall L. DuBois, Jr. all of Phenix City, AL., and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Eileen M. Hotchkiss DuBois, her sister, Mabel Signor, her brother, James R. Sturdevant.

A graveside service will be held on July 1, 2014 at 2PM at the Paige Cemetery in Downsville with the Rev. Dale Ashby, officiating.
