Helen M. Caffery, 89, of Walton passed away on Monday, July 4, 2022 at O'Connor Hospital in Delhi, NY.

Helen was born September 23, 1932 in Delhi, NY the daughter of the late Gerald W and Clara (Stokes) Jones. On December 10, 1955 she married Harold "Bud" Caffery he predeceased her on January 19, 2018.

Helen was employed by Amphenol Aerospace, Sidney, NY. She was a great cook and baker and enjoyed decorating wedding cakes.

Helen was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Walton where she was active with church events including working in the kitchen. Helen was also a member of the Walton Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, and Walton Vets Club.

Helen is survived by her loving family, children, Eric Van Loan of Florida, Fran and Lori Van Loan of Unadilla, Craig Van Loan of California, Wayne and Sharon Caffery of Walton, Colleen and Brian Becker of Florida, grandchildren, Ashley & Brian, Shelby & Matthew, Pam & Josh, Patrick, Paul & Noreen, Nathan & Vanessa, Christopher & Colleen, Carmen, Ryan & Stacey, Renee' & Tim, Amy & Jason, Justin & Shana, Katrina & Chad, great-grandchildren, Kenley, Briella, Elena, Katie, Sarah, Jason, Paul Jr., Samuel, Aiden, Chase, Christopher Jr., Ireland, D.J., Aliyah, Cayden, Evan, Elaina, Olivia, Liam, Brycen, Lukin, Jackson, Grayson, Wyatt, Caroline, Savanna, Makaylie; sister in law, Patricia Caffery of Walton, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Helen was predeceased by her sisters, Jean J. Judd, Irene Jones, brother, Alfred Jones, brother-in-law, Bruce Hoyt, Lester Caffery, Jr, Victor Caffery, and sister-in-law, Barbara Hoyt.

Friends and relatives are invited to call on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 from 11AM to 1PM at Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton where services will be held at 1PM with Pastor Christine Lindeberg, officiating. Burial will follow in Walton Cemetery, 55 Fancher Avenue, Walton.
