Helen I. Jones 86, a long time resident of Walton, passed away early Sunday morning, December 14, 2008 in the Delaware Valley Hospital, after a long illness.

Helen was born in the town of Meredith on October 30, 1922 the daughter of the late Oliver and Irene Ackerly Jubar. On August 5, 1943 she married Lewis C. Jones Sr. at Trenton, New Jersey.

Helen was a faithful member of the Pines Brook Baptist Church. She loved to cook, sew and especially watch her grand and great grand kids.

Helen is survived by two daughters: Florence & Carl Amey of Lockwood, NY, Lenore & Stephen Dutcher of Walton, three sons: Edmund Jones, Lewis & Donna Jones, Stephen & Reva Jones, all of Walton, 8 grandchildren, Dina, Stephen, Walter, Clint, Jones, Donna and David Amey, and Hannah and Stephen Dutcher, 6 great grandchildren, sister-in-laws, Mabel Jubar and Ruth Shaver, several nieces, nephews and cousins, special neighbors, the Bartletts and McLachlans and her church family at the Pines Brook Baptist Church.

A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Monday, December 15, 2008 at Walton Cemetery, with the Rev. Carl Butler, officiating. Memorial contributions in Helen's memory may be made to the Pines Brook Missionary Fund or Walton EMS.
