Herbert C. "Red" Patrick, 81, a former resident of Oneonta passed away Tuesday morning, January 11, 2011 at Countryside Care Center of Delhi.

Red was born on July 29, 1929 in New Berlin, the son of the late Jesse W. and Lucena (Hand) Patrick. He was a graduate of New Berlin High School. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force from 1948 to 1952, where he was awarded the Good Conduct Medal. He was employed for many years in the maintenance department of Fox Hospital.

Red enjoyed attending the Oneonta Yankee's games. He loved the Husky breed of dogs.

A graveside service with full military honors will be held at a date and time to be announced in the spring at the family plot in Fair View Cemetery, New Berlin.
