Hilario L. Garin, 84, of Walton passed away Tuesday afternoon, January 29, 2013 at Wilson Memorial Hospital of Johnson City.

Hilario was born on November 3, 1928 in Laguna, Philippines, the son of the late Pedro and Cirila Liwag Garin. He married the former Lilia Lubuguin on May 4, 1952. He was employed by Philippines Paper Mills as a machinist for several years. Hilario was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Walton. He enjoyed painting, sightseeing and watching sports on TV.

He is survived by his loving family, his wife, Lilia, Walton; 2 sons, Eduardo and Rose Garin, Philippines; Hilario, Jr. and Rhiza Garin, Philippines and a daughter, Jocelyn married to Richard Howard, Walton. He has 4 grandchildren. Gladys married to Leroy Rind, Edwardson, Maica and Christian.

Friends are invited to call on Thursday afternoon, January 31, 2013 from 2 to 4 PM at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend St., Walton.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday morning at 11:30 AM at Saint John The Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 17-25 Benton Avenue, Walton; with the Rev. Edward J Golding officiating. Burial will take place privately at the convenience of the family.
