Obituary

Horace S. Staley, 102 of Walton, passed away early Thursday, January 29, 2009 in Binghamton General Hospital, after a short illness.

Horace was born in London, England on June 6, 1906 the son of the late Frederick and Katie Rachel (Mayor) Staley. He was employed as a Fleet Supervisor, by S.P. Thomas, Inc., Totowa, NJ. His wife Galina died on December 14, 1998. He was also a Ham operator (KA2HDO).

Horace is survived by his sister in law, Klava Perkins, Surrey, UK; nieces, nephews, cousins, his good friend Adin Miller, Walton, and the many Ham operators he has touched from all over the world.

Friends are invited to call on Saturday evening, January 31, 2009 from 6 to 8 PM at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend St., Walton, where services will be held on Sunday afternoon at 2 PM.

Interment will be in St. Vladimir's Russian Orthodox Cemetery, Jackson, New Jersey.
