Hugh Rutherford, 93, a life long resident of Walton, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, August 22, 2007.

Hugh was born in Walton on October 12, 1913 the son of the late Hugh and Agnes Middlemist Rutherford. He was employed for many years as a tool and die maker for Del-Met, Walton. Hugh loved to hunt and collect guns. He was a member of the NRA, the Walton Archery Club and area snowmobile clubs.

Hugh is survived by 2 nieces, Mary (Dick) Hafele, Walton; Carol (Dick) Wissmann, Bethel, Ohio; a nephew, John M. Rutherford Sr., Walton, and several cousins. He was predeceased by 2 brothers, Earl, and George, and 1 sister, Margaret Rinsma.

A graveside service will be held at Walton Cemetery on Saturday, August 25, 2007 at 1 PM with the Rev. Thomas Ballard, officiating. Arrangements are with Clark, Winter & Courtney Funeral Home, Walton. Memorial contributions in Hugh's memory may be made to Walton EMS.
