Isaac L. "John" Kirk Jr. 43 of Cooks Falls, passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2012, following a swimming accident.

John, as he was known to his family and friends, was born in Slyvester, West Virginia on September 10, 1968, son of Isaac L. Kirk, Sr. and Essie Fay Brown.

A prayer service will be held on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at 1 PM at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend St., Walton, with the Rev. Edward Golding, officiating. Burial will follow in Walton Cemetery.
