J. Phillip Lewis, 82, of Walton passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at home, following a long illness.

Phil was born on June 12, 1941 in Gilboa, NY the son of the late Wendell and Jessie Louise (Hitchcock) Lewis. On September 21, 1974 he married the former Marilynn Conklin in Walton.

Phil was a Service Technician for Suburban Propane in Walton for many years. He was a former member of the Walton Fire Department, Zoning Board, and the NRA. Phil enjoyed wood working and making Maple Syrup in his spare time as he could not sit still for long.

Phil is survived by his loving family, his wife, Marilynn, children, Duane (Kathleen) Lewis of Palm Coast, FL, Kim (Ross) Pino of Indiantown, FL, Michael (Misty) Lewis of Sidney, step children, Randy Bishop of NM, Lorilynn and Keith, Bennett, NC, grandchildren, Karissa and Neal, Zackery and Ashlie, Kylie and Patrick, Bradley and Kate, Arian and Jacob, Kaylen, Korinne, Everett, Marisa, great grandchildren, Zackery, Dylan, Cole, Jade, Owen, Ellie, sister, Laura Morgenstern, brother and sister in law, Thomas and Vicky Conklin, daughter in law, Jessica Bishop of Worcester. He was predeceased by his brother in law, Robert Conklin.

Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, August 10, 2023 from 6 to 8 PM at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 11, 2023 at 1PM at Walton Cemetery, 55 Fancher Avenue, Walton with Pastor David George, officiating.
