James DiJiulio, 52, of Franklin, NY was returned to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at home following a short illness.
Jim was born July 9, 1963 in Delhi, the second son of four boys born to Margaret and Frank DiJiulio, residents of Delancey, NY. On August 6, 1988 he married the former Nancy LePinnet in Hamden. He was a wrestler in high school and a football player for Delaware Academy and he continues his love of football by watching his son play for Hobart College in Geneva, NY. He graduated in 1982 from Delaware Academy.
He has worked at various jobs, has been self-employed as a chimney Sweep ,union carpenter, and worked for the last 12 years has worked as an Energy Auditor for Delaware Opportunities in weatherization, he called himself the "house doctor".
He loved spending time with his loving friends and their families. He loved hunting and being outdoors.
He was very involved with his church family at New Hope Community Church especially the building of the church. He was always available to help out with whatever needed fixing. His unbelievable devotion to God was amazing right until he went to spend his eternal life with his Heavenly Father.
Jim is survived by his beloved wife Nancy and his beloved and cherished son Justin. He is survived by his loving Mother Margaret "Maggie" DiJiulio of Delancey, brother Mark DiJiulio from Colorado, and brother Mickey DiJiulio from Franklin, His Mother in law Lydia LePinnet from Florida. Sister in Law Donna DiJiulio of Florida, and in laws from his wife's family, Patti and Scott Taggart of Franklin, Glen and Ann LePinnet of Walton, Gary LePinnet of Florida, Terry and Bob Sampogna of Verplanck, NY , and Diane and Bob White of Florida, and many nephews and nieces and many grand nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by his father, Frank DiJiulio, brother Francis "Dusty" DiJiulio, and recently his Father in Law, Ralph LePinnet.
A memorial service to celebrate Jim's Life will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 1pm, with calling hours from 10am to 12pm with family in attendance at New Hope Community Church, 45 Stockton Ave, Walton. Arrangements are with Courtney Funeral Home, Walton.
