James "Jim" Gardepe, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2025, at the age of 87. He was born on March 13, 1938 in the town of Tompkins, NY, to his parents Joseph L. Gardepe and Ruth (Bowdish) Gardepe. Jim enjoyed hunting and watching the NY Mets and Giants.

Jim is survived by his devoted wife, Patricia Gardepe, who brought joy and companionship to his life for 66 and a half years; his children: David "Gutsy" (Cindy) Gardepe and Duane "Skip" Gardepe; grandchildren: Danica, Damien (Ashley), Chad (Hillary), and Jade (Dominic); brother: Wayne "Spike" Gardepe; and sisters: Barbara McLean and Carol Seward.

Jim was predeceased by his brothers Raymond and Richard and sisters Evelyn and Linda.

Graveside services will be held in his honor on Thursday November 6, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the Walton Cemetery, with Pastor Randy Palada officiating the service where family and friends will gather to celebrate his life.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Jim's name to the Trout Creek Fire Department. Jim will be profoundly missed, yet his spirit will continue to live on through the love he shared and the memories he created.
