Obituary

James A. Kilmer, 40, of a lifelong resident of Walton passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at Delaware Valley Hospital in Walton.

Jim was born on August 4, 1971 in Walton the son of Roger and Paulette (Brainerd) Kilmer. He was a graduate of Walton Central School, class of 1989. On June 12, 1999 he married the former Farrah Northrup. He was employed by Walton Central High School. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, cutting wood, and playing with his boys.

Jim is survived by his loving family, his wife, Farrah, his sons, Austin, Devin, Zachary, all at home; his mother and father, Roger and Paulette Kilmer; his father in law and mother in law, Tim and Denise Backus, his sisters, Pam and Ted Gladstone of Walton, Brenda and Jeff Maxwell of Delhi; his brothers, David Kilmer, Joe and Shannon Kilmer all of Walton; his nieces and nephews, Phillip and Brandon Gladstone, Alex, Ian, Emelia Kilmer, Ethan Northurp, his brother and sisters in law, Sean and Katrina Northrup, Aleya Backus, and several cousins. James was predeceased by his grandparents, Arthur and Maude Kilmer, Bill and Grace Brainerd.

Friends and relatives are invited to call on Sunday, November 20, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton, where services will be held on Monday, November 21, 2011 at 11 AM with the Rev. Larry Light, officiating. Burial will follow in the Walton Cemetery, Walton.
