James I. Price, 72, of Walton passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at home.

Jim was born on July 27, 1950 in Walton, NY the son of the late Erwin M. and Charlotte M. (Butler) Price. He was a graduate of Walton Central School, class of 1968, and Cortland College with a degree in education. Following graduation he jumped on a paver and never got off. He was a member of the Club Royale Oasis.

Jim enjoyed watching several sports on TV, all at once, and working outside in the yard. He was an avid reader, devouring everything in print.

Jim is survived by his loving family, brothers and sisters in law, Robert Price of Spring Lake, NJ, Donald and Lucille Price of Wappinger Falls, NY, Louise and Richard Brown of Walton, special friends, Gary Russell of Walton, Steve Belmont of Anchorage, AK, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and brothers, William and Keith Price.

A celebration of his life will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are with Courtney Funeral Home, Walton.
