James F. Quinn III, 78, died on July 15, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family in Walton, NY.

James was born on July 15, 1946 in Manchester, New Hampshire to James F. Quinn II and Helen Stezka.

James graduated from Manchester Grammar School in [1964]

He worked as a certified Volkswagen mechanic for many years before becoming a over the road truck driver.

James married Doris A. Kay on October 22nd, 1978

James was best known for whitty demeanor, awarding him the nickname "Grumpy". He enjoyed classic cars, drag races and spending time with his family, especially his grandson Shay. He loved his dog, Barney.

James served in the Army from 1964-1969 as an 1st LT, Military Police in the Co C 385 Mp Bn 7th US Army. He was awarded a Good Conduct Medal, Sharpshooter (Rifle) and National Defense Medal upon Discharge.

James is survived by his loving wife Doris A. Quinn, of Walton, his children Cristin Quinn Glasner and Son in Law, James Glasner from Portageville Ny, Kelly Quinn Johnson, and Son in Law Joseph Johnson from Walton, NY. Grandson, Shay Johnson from Walton, NY.

James is preceded in death by his life long best friend of 60+ years, Daniel Case.

As per request of James, there will be no services. The family will have a Celebration of Life to be determined at a later date.

Memorial donations can be made in James's name to Animal Shelter, Humane Society in Delhi Ny.
